Building subclipse on Linux

Message I see that some patched for the Linux support has been sent.
I would like to build subclipse under Linux and I have some questions.
(I have already been able to build javahl which may really be the
hardest part due to weird configure issues -:(

1) Can I just take the newest subclipse sources (ie no anything special
branch)
2) Do I need to use Eclipse M3 or will 2.1 work as well?
3) Are there some tweaking I need still to do for the configure files or
code files before I can start?

Mika
