There are several classes where it is possible for a NPE error when trying to
call methods on a client adapter in a finally block and the client adapter is
null due to an error instantiating it or an error prior to instantiating it.

Also, there are several classes where it is possible that returnSVNClient might
not be called due to an unexpected error.
