To reproduce:

1. Create a patch that involves 1 or more unversioned files.
2. In order to generate the diff, the unversioned files are first added to version control.
3. After the diff is generated, files that were previously unversioned are reverted in
order to leave things the way they were. However, the status cache is not updated to
reflect the fact that the resources were reverted and are now unversioned again.
4. Try to create the same patch again. This time the unversioned files are not added
to version control (because they are already versioned according to the status cache),
and the diff fails with a not very helpful error dialog.
