Windows XP SP2 JDK 1.5.0_15 Eclipse 3.4 JEE bundle Subclipse 1.4.1 The source is first checked out using the subversion command line client: svn, version 1.5.0 (r31699) compiled Jun 21 2008, 07:29:17 svn checkout http://subclipse.tigris.org/svn/subclipse/trunk trunk --username guest The full path to the Subclipse source on my box is: C:\Software\Source\subclipse\trunk (Obviously 'trunk' is the checkout folder as noted above by the checkout command.) The full path to the Eclipse workspace is: C:\Workspaces\Subclipse\trunk Start Eclipse and point it at a new directory for the workspace, so you have a new, clean workspace. Run File -> Import -> Existing Projects into Workspace Point the import directory in the dialog box to the 'trunk' folder from the above checkout. Select only the Subclipse plugin projects, excluding the SVNKit adapter and the older Mylyn integration. The projects are all imported in one operation. After the import, attempting to use Team -> Update from a context menu (Project Explorer, Navigator, Package Explorer views) will result in the error.
