Thanks again Mark. Now after using SVN Kit, the CPU usage is normal and so
check out is also faster than earlier.

You should probably take this to our users at subclipse dot tigris dot org list:

You said before you were not using JavaHL. Did you just give that as an answer without checking? Go to
your preferences Team > SVN and make sure JavaHL is selected.

If you are using JavaHL, try SVNKit.

There is no magic fix our answer I am suddenly going to give you. Subclipse calls Subversion API,
whether provided by JavaHL or SVNKit. What happens when that API is running is not within our control.
I cannot think of any reason a checkout should use that much CPU.

As I can see that JavaHL is already included in Subclipse for Windows-32 bit
OS. So where is the problem now?

Of course. JavaHL is the official Subversion API and what Subclipse is written to.

On Windows it pretty much "just works". See:

I would definitely suggest you try using JavaHL then. There is no reason not to and that is the only SVN API
we really test as part of our development.

I would try using JavaHL and you have not mentioned the repository access method. Is this http:// ?

The following way I'm doing check out:
1. Open perspective: "SVN Repository Exploring"
2. Right click -> New->Repository Location
3. Then adding URL of repository, User and Password
4. Save password and Finish.
5. After that choosing trunk of a component.
6. Right click-> Check Out

The previous version 1.6.10 was working fine with Eclipse Galileo. And I'm not
using JavaHL. If the problem is in Subversion library, how to rectify it?

1.6.13 is the right version to be using.

I'd guess the problem is not in Subclipse but in the Subversion library as it is doing almost 100% of the
work during a checkout. Subclipse 1.6.13 actually greatly improved performance and reduced the work
that happens in Eclipse.

If you are using JavaHL you could try using SVNKit and vice versa. You also do not indicate what repository
access method you are using.

Hello,

I'm using Eclipse Helios 3.6, where in I have installed Subclipse from the
following download link :

http://subclipse.tig​ris.org/files/docume​nts/906/47941/site-1​.6.13.zip

While check out from repository, the avaerage CPU usage is more than 90%. Please
let me know if there is any bug or I'm not using the right version of subclipse
for Helios.
