[Subclipse-users] No commit option for checked-out edited file

Message I'm using Subclipse 1.4.8* and client adapter 1.5.3 with Eclipse 3.4.2. I
checked out a project months ago from my own svn repo, and was able to
update and commit to it with the same IDE install until the project went
dormant two months ago. The workspace was also within my Dropbox folder so I
could develop at work and at home without having to commit with known bugs;
that arrangement worked fine for months.

I just revived the project, and started using the IDE install again today.
But when I use the IDE's Java perspective, and use Team in the context menu
for a locally-edited file, there are no options to commit, update, etc. The
SVN Repo Exploring perspective allows me to view remote versions of the same
files. This suggests to me that either 1) Subclipse has lost track of where
my local copies are, or 2) the local .svn entries have been corrupted.

Does either of these sound like the right explanation? If so, is there a way
to correct the problem without having to re-checkout everything and copy my
local updates over that?

*I can't update to a more recent Subclipse because I get the following error
